About This Project
A little while back, I noticed that placekitten.com was no longer as reliable as it once was. Sometimes images would fail to load and I wouldn't be getting 100% kitten goodness.
I joked with some coworkers that we should make a placeholder image site with unicorns instead. One of my coworkers took it more seriously than I intended... and PlaceUnicorn was born!
The site is a collaborative effort between the three awesome women on our dev team at Web Advanced.
- Rebecca built out the backend to actually handle cropping the images
- I designed the site in the browser and probably spent far too much time on the site banner and looking for free-to-use unicorn art
- Katherine designed and cleaned up the image gallery that shows the image IDs that users can choose from.
